In 2014, I helped developing the new website of Epica. The graphic intensive website is responsive and flexible, so it can be easily extended in the future. It is running on Stage and integrating both Instagram and Twitter feeds.

Sonata Arctica - The Official Website

During spring 2014, I developed the new website of the finnish power metal band Sonata Arctica. The website works both on mobile and desktop devices and is designed to be easily adjustable for upcoming releases. The website is running on Stage and uses Stage's Flickr and Twitter integrations.

Ultimate Music Covers

In late 2013, I built the website of Ultimate Music Covers and helped them launch their email list. It is designed to work both on desktop and mobile devices. The website was the first to run on my product Stage.

EMP Finland's Roll'n'Rock

Throughout 2013 I developed a Facebook game for EMP Finland to improve their fan's engagement on their Facebook page. The game is designed to resemble a one armed bandit slot machine. The game itself is built with web technologies. A Ruby on Rails based backend allows customization and campaign management for several different instances of the game.

posQR

I jumped in and helped Codemonauts to deliver requested features to the customers of their posQR platform. The system is used to provide additional product information for phsyical goods by using a QR code on the packaging.

Pixoona

In early 2013, I helped launching the second version of Pixoona. Within four weeks, I helped implementing their JavaScript based picture tagging feature. Pixoona allows to interact on photos all around the web via it's browser plugins, as well as sharing photos via their mobile applications.

flinc

From late 2010 to early 2013 I worked full-time at flinc. I helped bringing the vision of a real-time ride searching system to life and to more than 100,000 users. During this time I helped both composing and implementing the system. I worked on components such as complex database queries, integrating third party services, background processing, as well as front-end development, including both user interface logic and design. Additionally I helped keeping the system fast and scalable by removing performance bottlenecks and optimising several parts of the application.

InstantNavi

During my time at flinc, I also worked on flinc's other product, InstantNavi. It provides in-browser satellite navigation using

HTML5 technologies. It is backed by a management application built with Ruby on Rails and MongoDB, that allows creating and managing of differently styled satellite navigation setups. I helped implementing the backing application, as well as improving the JavaScript based satellite navigation framework.

Nightwish - The Official Website

Since 2005 I've been working for Nightwish, one of Finland's most popular metal bands. I designed and developed the content management system powering the website and contributed to several redesigns.

I'm also managing the server infrastructure running the website and forums. This involved some pretty high load scenarios when the band announced Anette Olzon as their new singer and parted ways with her a few years later.

Imaginaerum by Nightwish

In addition to the main website, I'm also responsible for the implementation of the website for Nightwish's feature film Imaginaerum. Working with the movie's director Stobe Harju and artist Toxic Angel, I converted their designs and suggestions into a static website.

During 2008 and 2010 I worked as a subcontractor for Ralf Niedling on an in-house project management tool for Mediaplus GmbH as well as the websites of Teethshirts.de and photographer Christoph Rüttger.

Up From The Ground / Final Breath

In 2004 I developed the website of a local metal festival and a local thrash metal band. I implemented a custom Content Management System based on PHP and MySQL. Additionally I developed a shop system and accreditation management system based on Ruby on Rails.
